Description

A UK 1st Issue of CO on the UK Warners label from 1971. Matrix A4/B4. The vinyl comes housed in an original Shorewood cover with the original generic white inner with blue text. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex-/Vg+) In lovely condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection there are a couple of light marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly NEAREXCELLENT level of playback with minor deviation in places.  A pretty decent player by and large. Not quite clean enough in all areas to hit the top grades. But it plays really nice for large parts. At times it is total-knockout. Land of Hope And Glory - top brass!!...Expect a bit of low-level static in a few of the lower key passages. Nothing invasive - they just won't play as clean as the rest of the LP. Overall a very fine rendition of this classic soundtrack,
Cover (Ex) Wow, well firstly....go and take a look at the other covers available on-line. Then come back and take a look a this one...Notice anything? From this period white covers that are largely unprotected have almost zero chance of arriving into 2020 looking as white as they did when first printed. But this example is defying all the odds - and looks absolutely pristine and white. Literally not a whiff of ageing or wear at all. This is insanely difficult to find. Front and back are still lovely and flat with nothing more than a couple of superficial low-level creases. Edge wear is almost non-existent. Again - this is so so hard to find. The spine is 100% intact and totally square. A really really hard find. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. You can try and find a better example...but you might be waiting a considerable period of time!
Inner (Vg+) Lightly aged, but no splits or writing.
