Description
Yellow NORGRAN label with trumpeter logo, deep groove, mono. Leader, Getz, tenor sax; Bob Brookmeyer, valve trombone; Teddy Kotick, bass; John Willamson, piano; Frank Isola, drums. 4 tracks. Note that Getz name was not mentioned on the jacket cover. At the time this was issued no other identification was necessary than a picture of this star. During that time Getz was referred to as "The Sound".
Cover: VG 1" split on the top and bottom edge at the insert edge. There is a small amount of corner wear. There are a few scuff marks on the front cover that follow a partial record ring pattern. There are 3 additional small scuff lines near the top, bottom and spine edges. Very light aging on the back cover. Heavy cardboard jacket.
Record: VG to VG+ Visually the record show very light wear. There are a small number of short surface rub marks and a faint, light, short scratch on Track 2, Side B. There are also some light brush-like rub marks. There is some surface noise at the beginning of the first track on each side. Posssibly slightly more on Side A. The balance of both sides have only a few, rare clicks. Possibly more on Side B as a result of the above mentioned scratch. I have graded conservatively as most of the record plays with no surface noise. Moderately heavy vinyl pressing. Audibly checked.
