Sparklehorse’s 1998 masterpiece Good Morning Spider returns in a definitive 2 x LP edition, cut at 45 RPM to give Mark Linkous’s textured, spectral artistry the space and depth it deserves. Across songs like “Pig,” “Painbirds,” “Sick of Goodbyes,” “Sunshine,” and “Junebug,” the album slips between damaged beauty and raw emotional voltage — a singular work from one of the most subtly visionary songwriters of his generation.
This special edition also includes a bonus 7-inch featuring Sparklehorse’s devastating take on Pink Floyd’s “Wish You Were Here” featuring Thom Yorke, backed with the ghostly non-album B-side “Haint,” making this a vital expanded presentation of the album’s creative era.
