Description

Prestige LP 7029 Yellow label with 446 W. 50th St.,NYC on both labels and the same address on the bottom of the back cover, deep groove, mono. Rollins, tenor sax on all tracks. 8 tracks with Kenny Drew, piano; Percy Heath, bass; Art Blakey, drums from 1951. 1 track with Miles Davis, piano; Heath, bass; Roy Haynes, drums from 1951. 4 tracks with John Lewis, piano; Milt Jackson, vibes; Heath, bass; Kenny Clarke, drums from 1953. Very rare edition.

Cover: VG+ or Better Intact with some edge wear. A few scuff marks from general handling on the front cover. These are minor. Light aging on the back cover with the letter "B" written on the margin at the top edge. Small tear near an old price sticker on the front cover.

Record: Mint(-) Visually shows no wear. There are some very light brush-like rub marks on the surface. These are relatively few and probably caused by ordinary cleaning of the record surface. These are barely visible and occur, mainly, on the Side A and do not effect the sound. The record appears to have been played only a very few times. There may be a very short, very light interval of groove noise on Side A but it is so light that I could not confirm. Side B has no surface noise other than a light click. In short the overall sound is close to Mint and can be considered a fine copy of an essential jazz record. Audibly checked.
