Description
Here is a superb copy of Sonny Rollins' debut on the Blue Note label, number 1542. This adheres to all of the criteria to identify an original pressing according to Frederick Cohen's book, including flat rim, deep groove, Lexington address, and etched RVG. The sleeve is non laminated, blank spine with the W 63rd st address. Record is in VG++ shape, no visible scratches that I can see under a light. Plays fantastic. Sleeve is VG+, no ringwear or seam splits, graphics still vivid. Image of Rollins is upright instead of on the side, another indication of an original sleeve. Small nick on top right of sleeve as illustrated in photos.
