On offer is an original 1967 stereo pressing of Leonard Cohen's debut LP, Songs of Leonard Cohen, Columbia CS 9533. It comes with the original lyric sheet.
The record plays fine, sounds mostly very good -- full and bright. It does sound with mostly light surface noise, light crackle and some clicks. But this never overpowers the music and I consider the record a very enjoyable listen despite the surface noise. No skips or catches.
The vinyl has some of its original shine and gloss. There are numerous hairlines, light surface marks and a few light scratches -- none serious. I grade the record Very Good to Very Good Minus by the Record Collector magazine definition of Very Good as "The record has obviously been played many times but there is no major deterioration in sound quality despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch."
The cover has no splits, writing or creasing. But in the past it has suffered some water damage to the front. And it gives a slight rippling effect to part of the opening edge. You can see the damage in the photos. There is also some normal edge and corner wear. The lyric sheets has one small tear and a small crease or two.
