Description

This is a no reserve auction for the following LP vinyl record:

Artist: Something Extra

Title: Ready Or Not

Year: 19??

Cat #  RON 747

Vinyl Condition: VG

Cover Condition: NA

Comments: First off, this record is something of a mystery. There is no information on the web whatsoever for this record. I have gathered that RON records is in affiliated with Ron Richardson, famous for 80's boogie record "Ooh We Babe"  Although, when "googling" Something Extra, you will find a copy of this record on the "SOMEX" record label with the catalouge # 749. not 747. This gives me reason to believe that this is a Somex test pressing of the record?  Other labels on which Something Else has recorded are: Dice and T.C.I   The condition of the vinyl is VG. There is wear throughout, nothing deep, just surface swiping from being transported in/out of sleeve. This was a club DJ record, so I am guessing it has hit the turntable/sleeve many times. The record plays great however, with some background crackle. Very hard to tell however, once the track starts. This, record, has a slight warp to it, I believe because it is a test pressing. It however, does not affect playback in any way. The sample is taken directly from the lp, no "cleanup" was used!  The other side of the record is the same track with more instrumentation.  Labels read-  RON 747  "Promo - Not For Sale" with pen writing on one side to indicate track/group name. The other side has a "Made In Canada" sticker. This record is housed in a plain white sleeve. Any questions feel free to ask.

**** NOTE TO BUYERS****

I use the Goldmine record grading system, which is detailed below. Cover's and vinyl are graded separately and may not fall into the same category. If you would like more info about a particular title, please ask. I check Ebay often and will try to get back to you promptly.

M (MINT) - Album is brand new, sealed, and unplayed.

NM (NEAR MINT) - Vinyl looks as if you just got it home from a new record store and removed the shrink wrap. LP cover may have some light rub marks.

VG+ (VERY GOOD PLUS) -  Vinyl may show some signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experience. Sleeves will have some slight wear, lightly turned corners, or a slight seam split. Also may have slight signs of wear also may be marred by a cut out hole, indentation or corner indicating it was taken out of print and sold at discount.

VG (VERY GOOD) - Vinyl has light wear, scratches or scuffs. Covers may be marred by writing, or have tape or stickers (or their residue) attached, or small seam splits.

G (GOOD) - Vinyl has moderate, ever wear throughout, but still playable. Surface noise and scratches. A cover or sleeve will has large seam splits. especially at the bottom or on the spine. Tape, writing, ring wear or other defects will start to overwhelm the cover.

P (POOR) - Lowest Grade. Audible scratches, etc. on more than half the tracks. Listening uncomfortable. The sleeve is water damages, split on all three seams or heavily marred by wear and writing.
