Description
This is a beautiful 1975 US pressing of Ralph Towner's landmark album, Solstice, released on the prestigious ECM Records label (ECM 1060). Recorded at Arne Bendiksen Studio in Oslo, this session features an incredible quartet including Jan Garbarek on saxophone and flute, Eberhard Weber on bass and cello, and Jon Christensen on drums and percussion. This lineup creates a spacious, atmospheric sound that defined the ECM aesthetic of the 1970s, blending jazz improvisation with classical and folk influences.
