Description

Incredibly difficult to find 45 from Soldier Boy Houston in this condition and an original release.  Visual grade of EXC for Western Rider Blues side. EXC- for Hug Me Baby side.  I try and be very conservative on my grading.  I am certain many other sellers would grade this higher.  Some very, very light marks on Western Rider side that look to be sleeve marks from sliding it in and out of the sleeve.  Hug Me Baby side has the one mark that you can see at around 5 o'clock.

Test playing.  45 was played 3 times each side on my electric vacuum tube style Columbia 360 phonograph.  It does have the heavier tone arm of the day.  Western Rider side had 3 or 4 audible pops during play.  Hug Me Baby side also had 3 audible pops that are caused by the mark shown in the picture.  Record did not skip either side.  No warping.

Pin hole punchout to the label as you can see.  Red ink in the A on the Atlanic logo on Hug Me Baby side.

Sleeve is what you see the plain brown one.  This is what it came to me in.

Runoff markings.  Western Rider Blues side:  "AT"  45-A-452-1 then a very small and shallow stamped "A" I think?

Hug Me Baby side:  "AT"  45-A-453 then the same shallow stamp small "A".
