Description
Soft Machine ~ Soft Machine Third CBS Records 66246. Released 1970
Although not a very first pressing this is clearly a very early copy on the Orange CBS labels, probably dating from 1971 or 72. It is also in really nice condition.
Grading: -
Outer Sleeve: EX
The gatefold sleeve is graded as being in EX condition. There are a small number of light creases and some general light wear to the cover. The edges also have very light rubbing in few isolated areas, but overall this is a very presentable cover which is free of any worrying faults. It is clean and overall a really nice example.
Vinyl: EX+
Visually the vinyl looks really nice with just a small amount of extremely light hairlines visible when held up to bright light, and the records have retained their deep black gloss shine. This is a very strong copy which has obviously been played very sparingly over the years

Inner Sleeves: EX
Both inners are the CBS records “The Inner Sleeve” branded ad type. Both display some slight creasing but are generally in Excellent condition.
Please note I grade conservatively. No overblown, overhyped description. I describe as I see.
Postage and Packing:
All records are placed in a separate poly lined inner and stored flat outside the sleeve and then placed sealed in a re-sealable polythene outer prior to shipping. Records are then placed between square cardboard sheets before packaging into cruciform mailers especially designed for LP’s. These mailers are a high-grade type which reinforce the edges around the LP and as such they are larger and weigh more than standard mailers. My postage costs reflect the additional size and weight of the packaging that I use.
