Smiths Heaven Knows 7" test press w/alternate version!

Description

This Smiths record is a 2-sided test pressing for their early single Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now (RT 156). Unlike the final version of this single, however, this contains a unique alternate cut of the A-side.

From the Passions Just Like Mine collectors website:

 

  • alternate version of title track - two-sided
    This test pressing has plain white labels and features the 3:50 longer version of "Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now". The b-side features "Suffer Little Children". Some copies have release info handwritten on the front label. 
  • RT 156 A-1U-1-1-1 / RT 156 B-1U-1-1-1

 

An extremely rare Smiths item that has just recently come to light. Very few 7" test pressings with the longer, alternate title track are known to exist!


Condition:

Record is Near Mint. As it is a test pressing, it comes in a generic black sleeve. 
Title and Cat# are written on the A-side label. For some reason the word 'Heaven' is mispelled 'Heavern'.
