Description
Here is a great 1987 release on the Sheffield Lab label (TLP-1000). Lawrence Leighton Smith conducts the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra in performances of works by Glinka, Tchaikovsky, Mussorgsky, Shostakovich and Glazunov, followed by Dmitri Kitayenko conducting the MPO in performances of works by Piston, Barber, Copalnd, Gershwin, Griffes and Ives. Boxed triple-album stereo release. Includes original inserts. Great recording from analog tape.
