Original Smashing Pumpkins "I Am One / Not Worth Asking" 7" Limited Potential Records LimP006 1990!!
I shouldn't need to explain how rare this record is. It was the band's debut release and is highly sought after by Smashing Pumpkins fans. I am the original owner and this record has only been played twice at the most. The vinyl and the cover are both in excellent condition and this 7" has been stored in a temperature controlled environment.
Tracks: I am One and Not Worth Asking.
This pressing was limited to 1500 copies, distributed only among small record shops and local friends near Chicago. Many of these vinyls have gotten warped, wrecked, broken, or just tossed out because of ignorant people who thought it took up shelf space. It is estimated that there are probably less than three to four hundred copies left. Some of these copies are scratched up, beaten up, and loaded with scuffs and rips in the cover art. Some of these also got banged around a bit because Billy carried a great deal of them in the back of his van. This copy is in excellent condition. The version of "I Am One" on this vinyl is a bit different from the album version. It’s more raw, and clean cut…it contains all of that studio angst and excitement the band had when they were recording, and in my opinion, "Not Worth Asking" is one of the best songs the Pumpkins ever recorded.
