Slayer Seasons In The Abyss Vinyl LP 1990 1st Press

Some say Reign In Blood is Slayers finest hour. And it might be as a purely thrash metal album. Bit i think I might prefer this album for the superior song writing imo.

I bought this in 2012 before the 2013 vinyl remasters came out. This 1990 1st press prolly sounds  better than 2013 vinyl  master i just paid quite a lot to import from america but because I don't listen to vinyl that much anymore  because its a lot of hassle only having the use of one hand, I bought brand new slayer version of the 3 1st presses I'm selling on ebay (the best 3 albums...well maybe I could argue Divine Intervention was better than south of heaven....but divine Intervention doesn't have the number 1 or 2 drummer to ever exist playing in it so...food for thougt)

Anyway for better or worse I bought the newer master of this and I don't need 2 vinyl versions of this so am selling this 1st press version.

Sounds absolutely great. I've sold quite a few vinyls (check my feedback/,reviews) but out them all,  replacing  south of heaven and reign in blood as  well as this seasons  i get the  feeling it might not be worth it cause unlike old zep or ozzy records I've sold recently. You could hear a few cackles and the odd pop. It's not so on these original slayer vinyls I'm putting up for sale, they honestly sound great.

Any 'white' markings you see on the record are light reflections an are not there in real life.

I dint now how to take good pictures of the dmdisc that doesn't gave done dirt of reflections.

This forc. On nothing sides has a quite a few hairline 'scratches" that the pics mite not lick up.

Bug I assure you they do not affect playback on anyway and are pterry hard to see without a bright light shining on them.

S nf if you love em like me and just want to hear a high quality viny version of this ani that dundd even better than even the original 1990 bd ,( I have that and the shm-cd Japanese cd release; the 1990 masterting is better, prolly this vinyl coated to the new vinyl bit I haven't had tome to compare and I'm stuck with it now...tbh if I just kept this o would ha e no complaints)

So bottom line. Yes this has a quite a few hairline scratches but they obviously dot tobfeep enough o affect the actual track and dound quality...ki d of lime a lot of cds both u and I have that have minor scratches bit sound othetd perfect)

This sounds good and I wonder if I should have bothered replacing it with a newer import from the USA I haven't really had the time to assess.

So if if you love em like me and just want to hear a high quality vinyl version of this that is even better than even the original 1990 cd ,( I have that and the shm-cd Japanese cd release from 2013; the 1990 masterting is better, prolly this vinyl beats Jr original 1990 vs realise in only bye e at vinyl van rbdn the vs is technically a 'superior' format)

Both onvinyl and cd (my 1990 original cd sounds better than myjapanese shm-cd too), prolly this vinyl beats cd original 1990vgesion to cause I reckon vinyl handles music eith extremely distorted guitars better than cd unless you are listening to the cd through a sofa dav, and even the the mastering might be compressed tobhell loudness wars style or unforgivably digital clipped like death magnetic. Luckily theLP vinyl format cant be digital clipped and cann ot be mastered too loud due to soace limitations, abd are actuall masrmstetedfor critical listening in yiur living room tmrathervtyan for lidtening in yiur car whete it has to be heatd above engine noise+ tyre/road noise.

If hiur just a normal geezer and an ocd collected that freaks out if everything absolutely flawless looking as well s flawless sounding maybe yiu vould psy more for a proffedionally graded verion on discogs. For the resybof us who put a vinyl revord to enjoy our favourite albuns with that sooth, non fayuguing vinyl sound. Yiu wont be dissapinted
