Description
Originally released in 1973, Skull Snaps is one of the most celebrated cult albums of the funk era. Although the group recorded only this single LP, its powerful rhythms, gritty soul vocals, and unforgettable drum breaks earned it legendary status among collectors and producers. Standout tracks include "It's a New Day," "My Hang Up Is You," and "I'm Your Pimp."
This 1990s reissue presents the complete self-titled album that helped define the rare groove movement. Long prized by DJs, collectors, and hip-hop producers, Skull Snaps has been sampled extensively by artists across multiple genres, with its infectious grooves continuing to influence generations of musicians. Today, it remains an essential recording for fans of classic funk, deep soul, and breakbeat history.
I am selling the record collection I've built over the past 40 years. Over the decades, thousands of records have passed through my hands, and I've kept the best, cleanest copies I could find.
I understand record grading and the standards serious collectors expect. Every record is graded carefully and conservatively.
Please note that I do not photograph the playing surfaces of the vinyl. In my experience, photographs cannot accurately convey a record's condition and are often misleading. Instead, I rely on careful inspection, accurate grading, and clear descriptions. I stand behind every record I sell with my experience, my eBay feedback, and free returns if an item is not as described.
