Wow, I never thought I would find one of these in the wild but here we are and here it is - isn't it a thing of beauty. If you know your funk soul rarities then you know that this one is like the proverbial rocking horse poop - especially in this condition. I picked this up from a northern soul collector who had found it stored in his garage so I expected the worst but honestly, it's the best copy I've ever seen (given that I've only ever seen two before and they were both shocking).
Please study the photos and videos as I've tried to condense as much information into the listing as I possibly can.
The Vinyl: It plays absolutely beautifully (check out the videos). It has some marks on side two but they do not seem to affect the quality at all. As you would expect there are the odd his, crackle and pop but it's a 50 odd year old record and it has character embedded in its grooves!! It has a lovely lustre to it and bedazzles when it's on the deck. Trust me this is a special copy.
The Sleeve: I guess you could say the sleeve lets it down, but in reality, it's the gift that keeps on giving (I mean look at that front sleeve artwork) because despite its blemishes and faux pa's it's lived a life and despite that it still transfixes you. So please (again) inspect the pictures and definitely ask me any questions you might have about it because I want the new owner of this beauty to be happy. The sleeve has some foxing and other signs of ageing plus there's a tiny bit of lift on the inside of the picture gatefold (can easily be glued down if you are ocd like myself) and there is a 2cm area where the sleeve has split at the edge of the record opening and also an area where the picture has deteriorated on the bottom of the gatefold. There's an area on the front sleeve that looks like the sleeve is degrading and someone has filled the area with black marker (only just noticed so it's been concealed well). Now this sounds bad but when taken as a whole it absolutely isn't, it looks fabulous and like I say - it's the best example of a record that you never see out in the wild so would you want to miss out on it just because of a few niggles.
I ship using eBay's shipping programme to most areas of the world. The record will be removed from the sleeve and placed outside in a plastics sleeve with some cardboard for extra protection. The record will then be bubble wrapped then placed inside a strong cardboard mailer.

Someone is going to be a proud owner of a incredible record - remember it has the dance floor classic 'I'm your Pimp' which if you haven't heard before, yes, it's incredible and yes it was a northern soul staple too.
