Description

The fifth studio album by the iconic British rock band released in November of 1982 demonstrates a bold shift in their musical direction. For the first time, the Banshees incorporated strings into their compositions, exploring the possibilities in the studio. John McGeoch, the group's guitarist, expanded his musicianship further to include recorder and piano. The Quietus' Julian Marszalek declared this record as a testament to the group's title as one of Britain's true "psychedelic bands". Featuring the singles "Slowdive" and "Melt!", this album is an electrifying journey.
