Description


This is the original stereo pressing of Thad Jones & Mel Lewis “Presenting the Jazz Orchestra” – their first recording – on Solid State SS 18003.  The playing surface is in virtually new condition, with a nice luster; perhaps played once.  The gatefold cover is also in near-new condition – immaculate throughout – with sharp corner and unworn seams.  The front is signed by Pepper Adams and Jerry Dodgion; the back is signed by Mel Lewis and Thad Jones.
