Description
This is Randy Travis's first album from 1983, when he was still known as Randy Ray. The name is Nashville Palace and is a Live album. On Music Valley RR 1215. There is some cover wear around the edges and a few light scratches on the cover but all in all a very nice copy. The vinyl itself has a few light scruff/scratch marks but nothing that should affect the quality of the sound.
It is autographed on the front by Randy Ray and includes the following songs: (side 1) Ain't No Use, If It Was Love That Kept You Here, Free Rider, You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet, One Last Time, Reasons I Cheat; (side 2) Call Somebody Who Gives a Damn, I Told You So, Promises, Send My Body Home (On a Freight Train), Future Mister Me, Good Intentions.
On the back of the album is a very nice commendation by Jimmy Dickens, Grand Ole Opry: "In my thirty five years of touring the world, I have had the pleasure of seeing and hearing many great young and up and coming young art perform. Not long ago I was in the audience when Randy Ray recorded this live album. To say the least, I was impressed. His ability to talk and communicate with the people in the audience was great. "Here is a little gentleman" was my first impression.
"I know a lot of song writers write hits, but not everything they write is good. Se good, some fair, some bad. I did not hear one bad song during the evening. I think Randy Ray is by one of the most talented writers and performers that I have ever heard. Give any song in this album a chance and it could be a hit.
