The Pistols Box Set is a Greek 1987 reissue of the UK Pistols Pack released in 1980.

This reissue has exactly the same picture sleeves as the more common UK version but the 7" records come contained in a box as opposed to the UK version which was marketed in a fold-out plastic wallet.  The box states made in Greece on the back under the track listings and the record labels themselves are in the standard Virgin red and green, except for the addition of Greek as well as English copyright statement making reference to EMI.

All records come in picture sleeves showing the artwork used on the original single releases except for 'Holidays in the Sun' and 'Stepping Stone'

This item is in a used condition, although I myself have never placed the records on a deck, there are marks around some of the centre holes showing that they have been played, although not extensively and the vinyl appears to be in good condition.  The sleeves (both sides shown in photos) appear to be in very good condition and the box is also in very good condition with some corner creasing and you can see faint residue of where the original small price ticket was attacted to the front of the box.

Although the Greek version is a later reissue, it was released in much smaller numbers than the 1980 UK version and as such is catagorised as 'Fairly Rare' and is more difficult to find than the UK walleted version.

I have been a Sex Pistols and punk related collector for many years and as such all items are as accurately described as I possible can, I do not throw the descriptive words rare, fairly rare etc into item descriptions unless I know that the statement is true! If I list an item I will tell you exactly what it is, For example there are more than 80 pressings of Never Mind the Bollocks, with different labels, covers, numbers, countries that have been released, and some are rare and some are common.  Spunk (the original pirate album) comes in many guises, some rare, some common and some just reissued repros.  I will tell you all I know about a particular listing so you can make an informed judgement as to whether it is what you're looking for.

If the item is vinyl I do not use a grading system (I'm not a vinyl collector I'm a Pistols collector) I will describe the item as accurately as I possibly can, mind you my experience of so called vinyl grading from some ebay sellers is bollocks.... so called good conditions are only fit to be drinks coasters in some cases.  If it's used and imperfect I will say so, many were purchased because of their Sex Pistol connection and not for their vinyl status or playability (I don't even have a record player, which means some haven't been played from new)

I lived through the original punk years, unfortunately not close to the action, and Sex Pistols stuff was pretty much banned in shops around my area, damn retarded philistines running councils, religious groups and companies (not much changed since 1976 then!) as such I didn't start collecting Pistols stuff until later in life.  But it's time to thin the collection down as other interests (guitars, amps etc) take more of my time and with advancing age you just have to clear some of the stuff you've accumulated over the years.... either that or buy a bigger house. 

All my Sex Pistols items are genuine pieces from my collection, I DO NOT list reproduction mass produced, jump on the bandwagon rubbish like worthless A&M multicoloured singles at rip-off prices that I'm importing on mass from foreign shores!

I will always give as much information about an item as I can, if you have questions then please do ask, I'm more than happy to answer to the best of my ability and knowledge, and no I don't have an original A&M copy, unfortunately.

PLEASE NOTE:  I do not end auctions early as it is unfair on current and potential bidders.  If a reserve price is set, it is because that is the price I will take at minimum for the item to leave my collection, and I do not disclose the reserve if asked so don't bother asking.  If it doesn't make reserve then it stays with me (although if you were the highest bidder and only just fell short of the reserve I may just swallow it and do a second chance offer at the end of the auction).
