🕯️ Screams For Tina – Strobelight Funeral (1986, Dark Illusion Records)

Test Pressing + Regular Pressing & Cover + Lyric Sheet Insert = Complete Collector’s Bundle

Full Description Information:
Lyric sheet insert is in excellent condition with slight creasing.
Regular release cover is in OK VG+, just better than VG condition, with light to moderate general wear, slight nicks and light creasing around the edges, but more creasing along the bottom seam, and light bumping and light tears at the lower portion of the opening edge.
Regular vinyl has clean labels and is a decent, OK VG+ overall. Side one is a strong VG+ with light scuffing and plays excellent or close to excellent with light to slight rare surface noise. Side two is a weak, OK VG+ with moderate scuffing and starts out with moderate surface noise and a couple of pops during the intro and plays with occasional, mostly light surface noise and infrequent background ticks after that. No scratches a dry finger can feel on the vinyl.
The test pressing is in excellent condition, looks close to pristine mint with a slight mark on one side and a couple of slight scuffs on the other side.
Each side of the label has the test pressing "Rainbo Records" logo, name, address, and stated "TEST PRESSING" with blank spaces for customer, $, matrix #, date and comments, but only one side of the label is filled out and neither side indicates which is side 1 or side 2.
In the runout matrix on the label's blank side is the matrix number that coincides with the B side, and interesting enough it starts out with some moderate surface noise even though the side looks close to mint perfect, indicating to me that the surface noise on the regular record is probably part of the recording itself. Also in the runout matrix on the B-side of the test pressing is this text: "Araham Budd, Screams For Tina Life = Death, +Billy Aug 7th, 86, Scream For Tina". Billy is spelled with a backward "B".
On the other side of the label, it's written on with black pen, The "Customer" blank space is filled in with "Billy" with the backwards "B", as in the runout matrix. Date is filled in with "Aug: 86", corresponding to the runout matrix, and below that in the comment is "Screams For Tina" with each word beneath the next and a star drawn at each corner of the phrase. In the runout matrix there is drawn an upside down cross followed by the text "Billy, Aug, 7th, 86" followed by another upside down cross, followed by "Screams For Tina" beneath that. The B in "Billy" is again, turned backward.
This is a museum-grade artifact with narrative depth that borders on gothic folklore. The test pressing alone, with its handwritten “Billy” (backward B), upside-down crosses, and cryptic runout inscriptions, is a relic of LA deathrock mystique. This isn't just vinyl, it's a portal into 1986 underground culture.
For serious collectors of post-punk, deathrock, darkwave (U.S.) and LA underground history.
