Every Scott Walker fan or collector knows the rarity of Scott 2 Mono, by 1968 stereo records were outselling mono by a factor of 4 to 1, finding one with the insert is virtually impossible and then finding one in this condition is unheard of. I recently sold a Scott 2 stereo with insert for £40 that was a pretty fabulous example by comparison this one is simply stunning. The vinyl still retains all of it's shine and is free from surface marks, stratches and scuffs, the labels are free from spindle wear of any kind, I would hazard this record has been played less than a dozen times in it's 40 year life. It plays superbly without any real surface noise. (Tested and graded on my Michell Gyrodec, Naim, Proac system)

Rather than go on about how fabulous this record is I will tell you everything that is wrong with it, the sleeve is a little compressed due to storage and there is a tiny amount of laminate lift near the spine, that's it! I've bought new records in worse condition. Even the original inner bag is amazingly clean. This is the best example I've ever seen. Unless someone discovers a box of undistributed originals in the vault at Philips this is as good as a 42 year old record gets.

This record is a unique example and worthy of serious consideration, if you are in the market for a Scott 2 this is very sensible investment compared to reissue, in 10 years the reissue will be worth a couple of pounds how this will have substantially increased in value, or to any Scott Walker collector or fan this is must have.

If you wish insured postage please let me know so I can find out the cost. this record will be mailed between stiffners in a purpose made mailer, with the record removed from its sleeve and placed in a card sleeve to prevent damage to the sleeve.
