Description

One of a handful of violin viola cello & other Chamber rarities we have just had in, see our store page for more.

we combine shipping to save you money.

Scarce Private Issue probably 1950's (as no mention of mono or stereo and it is mono) 7" Ep  with picture sleeve 2 movements from the 3rd Unaccompanied Bach Cello Suite, plus the Paradis Sicilienne, and two of the Pieces in Folk Style by Schumann, accompanied by Rosalind Bevan. Beverley Chester is the soloist, and the lovely woody sound of his cello I got on my system was a treat to hear. There is some of the solemnity of the Starker approach here (but recorded before his account), with an added dance lilt in this reading of the Bach. I cannot imagine that any collector of the Bach suites would want to be without this version, leaving you wishing more existed. It doesn't, this is his calling card to announce his gifts, then he disappears. What a pity.

Record is near mint, no marks to vinyl or labels, sleeve is excellent, no issues as you can see in the pics.

When we post this to you, it will be housed in a new poly outer - we also pack in hard card custom made new boxes.
