Description

Up for sale is a highly collectible, authentic 1977 original US first pressing of the iconic Saturday Night Fever 2-LP soundtrack. This is not a common reissue! This specific copy is a fascinating, well-documented "hybrid factory variant" pressed at the legendary Specialty Records Corporation (SP) plant in Pennsylvania. It features elite mastering work by audiophile legend Wally Traugott, alongside a rare factory-correction audio misprint on Side 3. 💿 Dead Wax Matrix & Mastering Details:

  • Side 2: RS-2-4001-BS-SP with MASTERED BY CAPITOL stamp and handwritten Wally signature.
  • Side 3: RS-2-4001-CS-SP with REV-1, MASTERED BY CAPITOL stamp, and handwritten Wally signature. Features the rare, longer 3:58 "Live" mix version of Jive Talkin'!
  • Side 4: RS-2-4001-DS-SP with MASTERED BY CAPITOL stamp and handwritten Wally signature.

📊 Condition Report:
  • Vinyl Discs: Excellent (EX / VG++) – Outstanding condition with a brilliant original glossy shine. Showcases minimal signs of handling. Spindle holes are clean. Plays beautifully with incredibly punchy, dynamic "Wally-cut" bass.

  • Inner Sleeves: Excellent (EX) – Remarkably well-preserved for their age. No major splits or tears, holding the vinyl safely.
📦 Shipping & Handling: The record will be packaged with professional care.
