"In country musics long tradition of brother duet singing, Ira and Charlie Louvin served as the link between The Delmore Brothers and The Everly Brothers. More important, the Louvins stratospheric vocal interplay made them arguably the most influential harmony duet in country music history, touching everybody from Graham Nash and Emmylou Harris, to Beck and the alt-country band Uncle Tupelo. This essential CD edition contains of The Louvin Brothers finest albums (both issued by Capitol at the peak of their career): the masterpiece Satan is Real (1959), and the equally splendid A Tribute to the Delmore Brothers (1960). Both LPs have been remastered and packaged together in this very special collectors edition, which also contains 4 bonus tracks from the same period. An essential set for any comprehensive country library, as well as an indispensable collection for any fan of American music. "
