This is the original Van Gelder-stamped mono pressing of Sam Rivers “Contours” on the New York USA labels of Blue Note BLP 4206.  The playing surface is MINT, with a high luster’ perhaps played once.  The coated New York 23 cover is also in extraordinary condition – bright, clean, and immaculate throughout; “AUDITION COPY” stamped at the top of the back slick.  Blue Note inner sleeve is included.  Personnel include Freddie Hubbard, Herbie Hancock, Ron Carter, and Joe Chambers
