Description
This is the original Van Gelder-stamped mono “P”-pressing of Sam River “Fuchsia Swing Song” on the New York USA labels of Blue Note BLP 4184. The playing surface is in near-new condition with a beautiful luster; inaudible hairline on the first track of Side 1. The coated New York 23 cover shows light rubbing along the edges of the front; light wear at the spine corners; ¼” wear on the top and bottom seams, at the opening; the back slick shows light shelf wear, age toning and writing at the upper right corner. Blue Note inner sleeve is included. Personnel include Jaki Byard, Ron Carter, and Tony Williams. $150.00.
