Sam Rivers   Contours  Blue Note 84206 stereo "NY USA" label  

 

Sam Rivers (ts, ss, fl), Freddie Hubbard (t), Herbie Hancock (p), Ron Carter (b) Joe Chambers (d)  Recorded 1965

 

"New York USA" label. "Van Gelder" in the runout both sides. No "The Ear" aka "P" on any pressing of this title. Cover has "43 West 61st St., New York 23"  address. 

  Record looks and plays well at VG++. No scratches.  Small light scuffs or marks each side. 

 Cover is VG to VG+.

    Front cover has light to moderate wear and looks good.  Top seam has tiny beginning of split with heavy wear 1/8 inch at the pocket.  Bottom seam and spine not split but they do show wear and there's about a 1/4 inch piece of cover slick coming loose on the spine. Small spots of wear and slight denting at the corners. The back cover has light to moderate wear.

 My highest grade is M- and I rarely grade 50s or 60s records M-. Records are graded visually using the Goldmine system. M-, VG++, VG+, VG, VG- etc. I play grade any potential problem areas.  I attempt to grade conservatively, listing all significant flaws. You will be satisfied.  No hassles.
