REGARDING THE COVER ART (Stereotyping the Africans)...Questionable images can be seen on Ferrant’s cartoon of partying natives in grass skirts swinging through the trees on the cover of Conjunto Estrellas Africanas volume 1 (Abidjan: Disco Stock LPDS7901). This album of Afro-Cuban music, pressed on red vinyl, features Dexter Johnson on saxophone and Alfredo de la Fé on violin (no sign of his brother Otto da Fé, however).

Salseros...Be prepared!..During the next weeks I will be posting 247 LPs found in a "Wet" wahrehouse!! Covers are not in the best conditions since they were not protected at all(although some are NM, VG++, etc) but the records and labels (all originals) are mostly VG++ or better (like this one!) !!. Cotique, Tico, Sassissi, Fania, etc African Salsa, New Swing Sextet, Joe Quijano, Ray Barretto, etc...Great Finding but it will take time to grade them, play them, etc. Watch out for Ebay "caf1942"! (place me as a "preferred seller").

MINT: Unplayed, still sealed. M- (NM) Played vinyl but has no marks and plays with very mimimal or no surface noise. VG++ (Excellent): Played vinyl has one or two light marks and plays with none or very minimal surface noise. VG+: Played vinyl has more than a few marks and plays with some light surface noise but no skips. Strong sound!. VG: Well played vinyl has a lot of surface marks but no deep scratches, vinyl plays with surface noise but sound quality is still good. No Skips. Sells As Is!
