SABU MARTINEZ "PALO CONGO" LP - On Blue Note Records, #1561. Extremely rare vintage jazz Lp from 1957 in outstanding condition! Original MONO pressing with the classic Blue & White labels and the 47 WEST 63RD NEW YORK 23 address on the labels. The label is Deep Groove with the "EAR" and RVG stamp in the trail-off on both sides. Thick vinyl, thick laminated cardboard cover. The personnel: "Sabu" L. Martinez/conga, bongo and vocal; Arsenio Rodriguez/conga, guitar and vocal; Raul "Caesar" Travieso/conga and vocal; Israel Moises "Quique" Travieso/conga; Ray "Mosquito" Romero/conga; Evaristo Baro/bass; Willie Capo/vocal; Sarah Baro/vocal. The thick cardboard cover is in excellent shape and displays wonderfully. There are NO seam splits, NO cut-out marks, and the front cover graphics are particularly striking. Address on back cover is 47 West 63rd St., New York 23. The glossy vinyl is in VG+ to VG++ condition with some light marks or scuffs. Plays well. The songs are: El Cumbanchero; Billumba; Choferito-Plena; Asabache; Simba; Rhapsodia Del Maravilloso; Aggo Elegua; Tribilin Cantore.
