This is the type of ep that makes you want to down a 12 pack of Natural Ice and snap the spinal column of that old man across the street with an old sewer lid. Hellfire is the lesser of the two songs on this ep. But it still grasps you with its catchy riffs, not in the way as a bumble bee in your ear but like a dying wife’s last words. And a great change up of vocal styles, which any Sabbat fan knows. Now Immortality of the soul is the reason to own this ep. Do you want to know what it would sound like if Angel Witch raped Nuclear Assault and shat out a love child named Bathory? This is it! No intro like on Hellfire but a kamikaze aural assault that will make you spill your beer while head banging and not care. This is the song that has that galloping horse guitars without being gay like Gothenburg melo-death. You can hear the Mercyful Fate influence but thrashing with fury like a crocodile death roll. This song even dies well in the end like a wet f*ck on a warm day, like any good song should. In conclusion get this ep just for Immortality of the soul. You won’t be disappointed.
