UK Release date: January 1965.

On offer here is a VERY RARE original UK issue of the second 7” single by North London band THE SYNDICATS.  “Howlin’ for My Baby” is a raucous HOWLIN’ WOLF cover with some impressive guitar work and frenetic vocals.  There is more quality to be found on the other side - quirky mod punk organ sound with some appealing guitar and vocals.  The band’s third (and final) single “Crawdaddy Simone” is without a doubt their finest moment (though) with one of the wildest slices of British R&B ever committed to vinyl.  THE SYNDICATS included a very young STEVE HOWE who would later appear in psychedelic band TOMORROW and British progressive rock band, YES (replacing PETER BANKS).
