SXL 2101-3 wb+g Ed.1 – WAGNER: DAS RHEINGOLD / SOLTI, FLAGSTAD etc.

1959 Decca stereo recording boxed set of 3-LPs catalogue numbers SXL 2101-3 with wide-band and grooved labels, Edition 1. George Solti conducting the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra in Wagner’s opera Das Rheingold with soloists George London, Kirsten Flagstad, Set Svanholm, Gustav Neidlinger.

Side 1 has faint marks and 4 VERY light ticks. The other 5 sides only produce a total of 8 very light random ticks. None of these faint sounds interferes with the listening pleasure of this beautiful set. There is a 16-page stapled illustrated booklet including brief biographies of the principal singers plus an 82-page small format libretto incorporating a fold-out manuscript sheet with principal themes (both in excellent condition). Original Decca ‘ffss’ inners. The box is intact with light scuffing at corners.
