Description

Very rare Grieg – Peer Gynt. London Symphony Orchestra conducted by Oivin Fjeldstad. Decca 1st stereo pressing, ED1 wide band grooved. ‘Original recording by’ text. Comes with original inner sleeve.

1958 Decca Records (Cat.No.SXL2012). Condition: Cover: Good / Disc: Vg+

Cover has some peeling of the laminate there is also a small tear that has previously been taped to the opening. There is also a 1 inch split to the bottom spine at the opening. Overall graded as Good.

Visually record is Excellent it has a few surface marks none of which can be felt by lightly running a finger over them. On playing there is background crackle noticeable in the quiet parts. On Side 1 there are 8 audible clicks in a section, then a further couple of clicks later on. Side 2 has a couple of faint audible clicks but plays well. Overall graded as VG+.
