Description
This record marks the end of an era. It was the last popular R&B album produced in the old soul style before Puffy married hip hop and R&B with Mary’s remix album forever changing black pop music. The cover has wear and tear but the vinyl plays very well. I’m including the Remix EP which got as much radio play as the original. Mary did a remix album for 411 so I guess they wanted to do one too.
Be aware that RCA never officially released this album in 93. The only available copy is a UK bootleg that came out a couple years later. I bought it in 97 and was very surprised to see it. The pressing is a very low gain which means you can hear the needle drag in between songs and a bit on quiet parts even on mint copies. The first song has a forward jump/skip about ten seconds in. So although technically, it’s not an official pressing, it’s the only way to get this album on vinyl. C’est la vie.
