'ITS THE VINYL COUNTDOWN'

Welcome to 'Its the vinyl countdown' music auctions. Here you will find some of the most incredible rare records and music memorabilia for your collection. We pride ourselves on auctioning only the highest grade records and items, you will not see anything listed here below EX+ condition, unles the item is extremely rare. You will not see worn covers, warped records or scratched records. We simply do not bother with them.

We list in many cases, 'Archived' & 'mint' condition items, we are able to source from private collections all over the UK. So we hope you can be put at ease that what you are bidding on is of the highest quality.

We play through most of the records, unless the item is clearly mint, or sealed..in which case we don't play them, thus maintaining their 'unplayed' status!  Obviously with some of these rare items there will be the odd 'anomoly' along the way , the odd little static pop or lead in 'sizzle' for a split second.. nothing is perfect we find! all systems differ, but we aim to describe these as accurately as possible for you.... PLEASE ENJOY THIS ITEM YOU ARE NOW LOOKING AT..

ORIGINAL UK PRESS - HEAVYWEIGHT EARLIEST RUN with THE WAXY LABELS -  Later vinyls were thinner vinyl, these heavyweights are the rarest

Just one example from this staggering collection we are offering..

JUST A HANDFUL OF CAREFUL PLAYS FROM NEW-

Finding this LP in any playable condition is now becoming incredibly rare. Many copies trashed and scratched at parties back in the Glam Rock heyday! Plus this LP actually sold not that well so it was not pressed in its millions like many other Lps in the day.. Therefore finding a clean copy THIS good is outrageously rare... and for such a classic collectable LP, this one we are offering is an absolute must!

THERE ARE SOME LIGHT WHISP LINES-  THERE IS A LIGHT HAIRLINE RUNNING ACROSS TRACKS 2/3/4 OF SIDE ONE.. THIS DOES NOT SOUND AT ALL SO NO WORRIES, ALBEIT VISUALLY YOU WILL SEE IT.. THERE IS SOME VERY LIGHT STATIC IN  A FEW PLACES ONLY.

AND THAT'S IT..... OVERALL THIS IS RATHER STUNNING!

A COUPLE OF FEINT SPIDER LINES AROUND THE SPINDLE HOLE

OVERALL THIS IS A SUPERB EXAMPLE OF THIS HIGHLY PRIZED LP.  WE FEEL ALL THINGS CONSIDERED IN 2018 THIS EXAMPLE IS AS GOOD AS YOU WILL PROBABLY SEE...

THE LP HAS BEEN STORED AWAY FOR DECADES. NOT PLAYED SINCE THE 70s!!!!

THE LABELS   MINT    1st EDITION WAXY LABELS

THE SLEEVE   EX+

Original 1st edition FULL LAMINATED sleeve WITH GENERIC INNER

Printer credits   - ROBERT STACE

WE HAVE UNEARTHED A REAL CRACKER OF A SLEEVE!

AS YOU CAN SEE THIS IS THE ORIGINAL ISSUE SLEEVE - AGAIN, SO HARD TO FIND WITHOUT BAD CREASING, WRITING AND GENERAL TATTINESS!

THERE IS NO EDGE RUB OF ANY NOTE AT ALL, AND NO RINGWEAR OR DAMAGE AT ALL

THE LAMINATION IS GLEAMING LIKE A MIRROR- NO DULLING

JUST  A FEW TINY LAMINATE SPIDER LINES ON EACH EDGE AND A FEW ON THE SPINE EDGE & OPEN EDGE

THE OPEN EDGE IS SUPER SHARP, LAMINATE STOPPING SHORT AS NORMAL

A FEW LIGHT THUMB ARCS ON THE COVER FRONT TOO.

THE BACK PANEL IS FREE FROM ANY ARCS OR DAMAGE

NOW- SETTING THAT ASIDE ....THE WONDERFUL THING ABOUT THE SLEEVE IS THE FACT THERE IS NO 'LAMINATE BUBBLING' ANYWHERE!

EVERY SLEEVE WE HAVE EVER SEEN HAS HAD LAMINATE BUBBLING DOWN THE SPINE RANGING FROM A  BLISTER AT THE BOTTOM, TO HALF THE SLEEVE LIFTING!

THIS IS AMAZING TO SE ONE WITH NO BUBBLING.. WE CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH THE RARITY OF THIS!

OPEN EDGE IS SUPER SHARP LIKE NEW

JUST THE LIGHTEST RING PRESS

THE SPINE EDGE IS SUPER SHARP NO SQUASH AND ALL WORDING IS PERFECTLY READABLE

We cannot add any more than this! ITS A  SUPERB MINT MUSEUM EXAMPLE - BEAUTIFUL!!
