In tandem with the book "Swedish Death Metal", a homonymous music compilation was released in 2009 featuring more than 50 relevant tracks amounting to a playing time of over 200 minutes. Apart from essential classics of the genre, this audio companion will contain many rare recordings and insiders’ tips from the heyday of the Swedish Death Metal scene – the ideal opportunity for anyone who’s interested to get a taste of this explosive style of music in all its creative diversity.

For the first time this compilation is being released on vinyl now: The box set contains 5 LPs (black 180g vinyl) in cover sleeves and printed inner-sleeves featuring extensive liner notes, a poster with a Swedish Death Metal "map" as well as an A4 insert with an exclusive introductory text by "Swedish Death Metal" author Daniel Ekeroth. The box is available in an edition of 500 copies.

Featuring rare and unreleased recordings of bands such as Entombed, Dismember, Grave, Unleashed, Marduk, Dissection, Therion, At The Gates, Tiamat and many more.
