SVEN LIBAEK – RIDE A WHITE HORSE

Here on offer is one of the rarest Australian surf soundtracks around entitled “Ride a White Horse” by the greatly collectable Norwegian born Sydney composer Sven Libaek. Issued on the Festival label FL32627. This is a mono recording. On this album, Libaek used some of Australia’s best jazz musicians including Don Burrows; George Golla; John Sangster and Richard Brooks. The film follows the world tour of champion Australian surfers Midget Farrelly and Nat Young. This unique album, in typical Libaek tradition combines various styles including Rhythm and Blues, Jazz, Classical and Pop.

CONDITION
Vinyl – The vinyl has a nice sheen to it but does have a number of lighter marks. Definitely not in mint as you will hear some crackles and pops and occasional clicks throughout most of the tracks. However, the music does win out – Good-.
Cover – Quite a bit of wear and tear including some creases, ring wear, 5 cm spine split and a pencil mark on the back cover – Fair+++.
In all a satisfactory copy of this highly collectable surf soundtrack. Although not in the condition that I would normally list the rarity and historical collectability of this album makes it worthwhile.
