Description

GENE "The Draggin' King" MOLES - BURNING RUBBER & TWIN PIPES - 45 rpm 

original 1964 SURF/HOT ROD Rock INSTRUMENTAL *WL PROMO* 45 rpm on Challenge Records 59249.

Known as "the doctor of guitars," Gene Moles played with such legends as Merle Haggard, Buck Owens, and Tex Ritter. In 1961, he met Nokie Edwards of The Ventures and the two co-wrote "Night Run" and "Scratch" which was recorded by the pre-Ventures surf group, The Marksmen.

Vinyl grade A-side: VERY GOOD PLUS (VG+) clean, shiny vinyl, good label. B-side: VERY GOOD (VG) has a spot on the vinyl but plays nicely, no problems, good label.

To me, Twin Pipes is the better song, maybe it should have been the A-side? Local pick up is free & welcome.
