Description
Artist: THE SUNDOWNERS
Titles: “Rumble” / ”Surrender”
Label: WINK. Label is white with black text. Catalog number is
WINK 1009.
NOTE: This is a New York City label that I have not seen before. Remake of the Link Wray classic “Rumble” and the flip is a remake of Elvis’ hit “Surrender” in a similar style to the a-side. I couldn’t find any information about the record but thought it might appeal to fans of Link.
Year: early to mid 60s?
Condition:
VINYL: Nice VG to VG+ with most of original gloss remaining, plays closer to VG+. Has some general scuffing and several minor hairlines, but no serious marks or problems. Fidelity is very decent as you can hear in the accompanying sound clips.
LABELS: Condition of labels is poor. The b-side label is MISSING. The a-side label is pretty rough with spotting/stains and a small rip.
