SUN RA & HIS SOLAR ARKESTRA - THE MAGIC CITY    

US Saturn LP     LP B-711                    

This is an original US Saturn pressing on thick vinyl in a paste-on cover. Etched matrices are "B-711-A" and "B-711-B", with "-BP-" and "Saturn" also etched on both sides.

 

RECORD -  Looks EX+ with good lustre and some surface marks but there are four pinhead-sized rougher areas in the pressing at the very end of side 1 and other dimples/uneveness visible in the pressing on both sides when viewed under strong light. For some reason side 1 plays with persistent pops and loud crackle but side 2 plays very well (although still with some light background crackle audible in the quieter passages).

LABELS -  EX  Spindle marks but otherwise clean.  

COVER -  VG+  Clean front and clean back, although the back is a bit rubbed, which has caused some darker spotting on the white bits and lighter spotting on the black bits. Rubbing on front at the bottom edge. Wear to all corners and a two inch top seam split.

 

 

GRADING SCALE:   NM/EX/VG/G(+/-) Visual grading - not play tested unless specifically indicated above. NM is near mint not mint - I do not use M except for an unplayed record.
