Possibly the first album recorded by the jazzman and originally titled ‘Jazz by Sun Ra”. This French reissue is probably from 1970s. Recorded on July 12 1956 it’s very accessible jazz – nothing avant garde. Includes some legendary names – the very underrated John Gilmore on tenor for instance. (d.1995)
