Description
Sun Ra "Bad and Beautiful" original pressing on El Saturn 532. Recorded 191, released 1972. First release of this lp. Silkscreen cover in VG++ (on back cover "NYC 1961/62" has been written in pen and Marshall Allen's name has been darkened over with a black marker - possibly by the band? and a tiny bit of white out over something else that has been written and coered up. These are just adjustments to the liner information and to my eyes it really does not detract all that much from the overall integrity of the back sleeve image.) Record NM (couple of pops here and there as can be expected with Saturn pressings). This is really a stunning copy, played perhaps three or four times. An amazing Sun Ra lp that is very, very hard to find these days. Seldom does it come up for auction.
This is the most unbelievable collection of records I've posted to date, and one of the heaviest listings I've seen on ebay of late. Many of these records simply never come up for auction, especially in such fine condition. So I would urge to have a careful look at my other auctions because I think you'll be amazed by what you see. This is truly the posting you've been waiting for! GRADING: I only use the following grades: NM, VG++, VG+, VG. I try to grade consevatively (check my feedback and you'll see that I'm an honest grader!). I simply don't think it's worth my time or yours to post records that are in poor, unplayable condition. I only sell original pressings unless I note otherwise.
