… ”WORK THAT WE DO”…

… TEST PRESSINGS …!!!!

This record is Beyond Rare simply because of the impossibly low number produced, it’s from sublime in 1993! & it’s it directly from the guy who had them pressed, “Lob” from Vinyl Solution in Huntington Beach, CA!

I don’t even need to promote this vinyl “Holy Grail” of Sublime’s early days, but I’m gonna give you all the necessary info about this particular release, it’s authenticity & it’s background for you to have as documentation with your purchase!

For Your Information:

Test Pressing records were made in tiny numbers (sometimes as few as a handful) to “test” the fidelity of how the sound of recorded music replicates itself when pressed onto a vinyl record. Record manufacturers press just a few of these so the engineers, producers, and the band themselves can listen and see if they are satisfied with the sound, or if adjustments need to be made before they mass produce the finished product that will be for sale to the public.

This Particular “Test Press” is from “Lob” over at “Vinyl Solution” in H.B., Ca & it bares the “Fer Lob” signature written on the generic white sleeve that the vinyl came in.

You can clearly see this in my pictures BUT ALSO, You will find “Lob’s” name on the back cover of the sleeve under the “credits” section.

Lob and Dave Noise (From “Noise, Noise, Noise Records in Costa Mesa, Ca) made the “W.T.W.D.” 7” vinyl in conjunction with sublime.</3>

Here is what Lob had to say about the release:

” The “WTWD” was pressed only ONE TIME.. we pressed 1000 copies.

There were only 6 test pressings...

We thought about re-pressing it..but by the time we got around to it ERIKA RECORDS had already destroyed the master plates and so it would have cost too much for us to re-press. and we didn’t.

The cover sleeves were printed by Dagon Productions. I still have a pile of like 30 or 40 un-used sleeves.

The note that has my name was written at Erika records…as I placed the order, and picked up the goods.. so it was just labeled with my name for pick up.. and on top of the pile."

The vinyl has hand-written etchings on both sides of the vinyl on the run out groove & an all white center label.

The Cover sleeve, the Inner sleeve and Vinyl are all in pristine condition, LIKE BRAND NEW even though this thing is 17 Years Old!!
I received this vinyl & put it straight into the vault.

There is No Need to play this vinyl due to the fact that the “etchings” verify & validate it’s authenticity.

This is one of those times when you can grab yourself an incredibly RARE piece of sublime’s history, but make no mistake, this will probably be the only time.

In almost 20 years of collecting & selling sublime memorabilia,.. I have NEVER sold one of these… Or seen one for sale; for that matter!

It’s “rarity” is unsurpassed!!!
