Description

SU TISSUE Arspenlian Reeves - Salon De Musique LP

Adversity LTD – SMLP 3263

From my personal collection. Smoke free home.

I’ve had this amazing Su Tissue (Suburban lawns singer) experimental/instrumental LP for nearly 25 years and played it maybe three or four times on my high end turntable.  Last time was not long after purchasing to digitize it.

I originally bought it October 2001 from the ‘Record Recycler’ after seeking it out for years as a Suburban Lawns fan (see receipt pic).

Extremely rare original private press LP with the original inner paper sleeve.

No seam splits on the jacket.

No spindle marks on the labels.

A few very slight surface scuffs on the LP that don't affect play.

Please see my images for condition and details.

I placed the LP in a MOFI sleeve for protection years ago as well.

LP is original, authentic, and sold 'as is' (no returns).

USA buyers only.

Boxed shipping and handling FEDEX overnight signature confirmation flat fee of $30.00 shipping.

Everything will be bubble wrapped and shipped in an oversized cardboard box for prompt and safe arrival.

Thank you for looking and good luck!

"Su Tissue was the front-woman of the post-punk band Suburban Lawns before writing and releasing Salon de Musique in 1982 while at Berklee School of Music. It’s a three movement fantasia featuring her playing piano and singing. It’s a repetitive, postmodern classical piece, an arpeggiated piano phrase architecting its personal space in three pseudo-variations with uncredited instrumental solos from a quiet, fuzzy guitar and a warbling saxophone; a significant departure from the sound Suburban Lawns had been crafting. It was the only solo piece she recorded before disappearing from the public music world, not necessarily growing up, but growing out. " (By Imogen Bergin)
