See my other auctions this week for a bunch of psych, rock, and electronica LPs! Here’s a very rare studio acetate pressing of Piper’s first self-titled LP, from 1976. This band featured Billy Squier, who would later go onto bigger and better things. This is a two one-sided disc set, with side one of the LP on one disc, and side two on the other. The discs are in very nice VG++ shape. Are these mixes different that what was eventually released??? I have no idea, as I don’t own the original LP. I CAN tell you that the tracks are in a completely different order than the original A&M LP, so that at least seems interesting. Beyond that, what you see is what there is… check out the pictures!
