Description
From 1968, out of California, comes the Strawberry Alarm Clock with their second LP, Wake Up...It's Tomorrow on UNI 73025. Excellent psych LP! This group gets overlooked after their first LP Incense And Peppermints which was also a hit! The group was actually a good psych group but gets overlooked because of that first LP-they were forever typecast as "one of The Summer Of Love groups". Contains the great psych songs Tomorrow, Sit Down With The Guru, and Pretty Song From Psych Out(an amazing movie), plus others. My favorite is the Black Butter Trilogy, which is great psych bordering on hard rock. Guitarist Ed King would end up in an early version of the Southern hard rock group Lynyard Skynyrd.
