I HAVE JUST BOUGHT THE BEST NEW WAVE OF BRITISH HEAVY METAL / HEAVY METAL / HARD ROCK COLLECTION I HAVE SEEN IN 35+ YEARS. THIS COLLECTION CAME FROM AN INDUSTRY PERSON WHO WORKED IN THE MUSIC INDUSTRY BETWEEM THE LATE 70'S AND LATE 80'S SPECIALISING IN ONLY NWOBHM / HARD ROCK / METAL ETC....so keep watching over the next few weeks, as a lot of the items I have for sale never been offered before, most come with letters and promo inserts etc....
This is a ONE OF THE HOLLY GRAILS OF UK NEW WAVE OF BRITISH HEAVY METAL / NWOBHM single by the band STORM QUEEN from 1982, ORIGINAL FIRST PRESSING IN BARELY PLAYED CONDITION AND A MUST !!!
This is the first time the ORIGINAL FIRST PRESSING with the RED LABEL and WRONG TITLE have ever come up for sale as most copies were destroyed, WELL HERE IS YOUR CHANCE TO GET AN ORIGINAL COPY !!!
The story is that this the first pressing of the single with the red label had one of the songs printed wrongly "COME SILENT THE NIGHT" most copies were destroyed apart from a small amount that was sent to radio station and reviewer (this copy was sent to a radio station), then the single was pressed again with a black label and the song title printed correctly "Come Silent The World".
THIS IS THE FIRST COPY I HAVE EVER SEEN OF THIS FIRST RED LABEL ISSUE (and I have had over the years 3 copies of the black label issue) AND THE FIRST TIME A COPY HAS COME UP FOR SALE !!!
The single was pressed in 1982 on the band's own REAL FIRE RECORDS, catalogue number RF 001.
The songs are: COME SILENT THE NIGHT / RASING THE ROOF.
The single never came in a P/S and the condition of the VINYL is in EX+/EX++ (PLAYED ONCE, minor sleeve mark only, the labels have some bubbles in them due to the cheap pressing).
DON'T LET THIS RARE NWOBHM single get away as you will NEVER see another one.
