STONE ALLIANCE S/T RARE ORIG JAZZ FUNK BREAKS LP PM 013
An original pressing of the 1976 self-titled debut LP from Stone Alliance (PM PMR-013), bringing together bassist Gene Perla, pecussionist Don Alias, and saxman Steve Grossman - alumni of Miles Davis', Elvin Jones', Nina Simone's, and Sonny Rollins' groups - to meld together the disparate sounds of jazz, Afro-Cuban, rock and pop. Includes particularly funky breaks on Alias' "Sweetie Pie."
The cover is very good plus due to some ring and edge wear (including some minor chipping), a cut-out upper right-hand corner, a 2" seam split in the upper right, another 2" split in the lower right, and some writing on either side. The LP within is very good plus as well.
To protect your investment, this LP - as with all vinyl purchased at The Great Escape Online - will be placed in a new plastic outer sleeve prior to packing and shipping.
