Forget Van Morrison, it's Northern Ireland punks Stiff Little Fingers that are the country's greatest export since the Ulster Fry. Even in periods of relative dormancy (there's only been two studio albums released this century despite the band continuing to tour) the band have had a potent impact globally, inspiring kids to pick up guitars and start bands from Sao Paulo to Seoul. This influence largely from the group, who have been going for 48 years and counting, comes from their golden era when they first started out and this debut album - originally released in 1979 - is no exception. Containing the immediate, hard-hitting single 'Suspect Device', It's often argued to be the band's best album and worthy of mention in lists next to releases by the likes of The Sex Pistols, Dead Kennedys and The Ramones.
